Who we are

With members from colleges and universities across the state, Maine College Democrats is the leading progressive organization for College Students in Maine! Help support our mission as we work to bring together the future leaders of our party. 

As the official Maine Chapter of the College Democrats of America and student arm of the Maine Democratic Party, we are dedicated to organizing college students from across the state in order to encourage and develop the participation of young Americans in the political process and the Democratic party.

Reese Remington

President, Maine College Democrats

Reese Remington is a senior at University of Maine at Farmington majoring in Political Science with a minor in International Global Studies. Reese is proudly the first Black member of our organization and spoke at the Maine’s Democratic Convention last year about importance of having a diverse party in Maine. Outside of Maine College Democrats, Reese co-founded UMF’s Black Student Union and is the Vice President of UMF’s democrat chapter. She is passionate about uplifting underrepresented communities and hopes to pursue a legal career fighting for those changes. Outside of democratic work, Reese plays rugby and spends majority of her time outdoors.

 

Noah Forman

Vice President, Maine College Democrats

Bates College, 2025

Noah is a rising sophomore at Bates College, double-majoring in Politics and Sociology. Previously, Noah was the Fundraising Director for Maine College Dems. He has a track record of creating quick change for Maine, setting up MCD’s finances from the ground up immediately after his election mid-term. Noah is stepping into the role of co-president for Bates College Dems and is known for his dedication toward action. Outside of Dems, Noah works with multiple non-profit organizations, including a self-started animal rescue foundation, and is a writer & Digital Editor for The Bates Student newspaper. He is also a student leader for Bates Votes – a student initiative to encourage, educate on, and protect voting on Bates’ campus. Noah is an avid skier and pianist.

JuliaKay Fiori

Development Director, Maine College Democrats

Bowdoin College, 2024

JuliaKay Fiori is a junior at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, majoring in Francophone Studies and minoring in Archeology. She serves as Development Director for the Maine College Democrats and as President of the Bowdoin Democrats. She has a long-standing interest in women’s rights, abortion, and LGBTQ+ issues and has volunteered for several Maine and national campaigns. In her free time, JuliaKay can be found knitting, practicing archery, quilting, and skiing.

Colter Adams

Political Affairs, Maine College Democrats

Bowdoin College, 2024

Colter Adams is a U.S. Presidential Scholar and government major at Bowdoin College, currently serving as the Political Affairs Director for Maine College Democrats. He is Co-President of Bowdoin Democrats and the founding Director of the Bowdoin Decision Desk, a non-partisan election data analytics club. Colter is pursuing a career in environmental politics, and has worked on climate policy at the local, state, and federal level, including for the Biden administration as an intern for the AmeriCorps CEO’s Office. In his free time, Colter hikes, climbs and paddles the Appalachians, and makes music and podcasts. He fronts two indie rock bands, and wrote, scored, and produced Rockfish Gap, a chart-topping radio drama set in Shenandoah National Park..
